5 ml of syrup contains 2.5 g of lactulose.

Dosage

Adults:
In chronic constipation, initial dosage: 20 to 40 ml daily in 1 or 2 doses.

In hepatic failure, pre-coma or hepatic coma, 120 – 240 ml in 3 to 4 doses daily. Dosage should be determined individually, changing them every 1-2 days, so that the number of bowel movements per day is 2 to 3.
