Afrin Nasal Spray is an over-the-counter medication that provides rapid relief from symptoms associated with nasal congestion caused by colds, sinusitis, hay fever, and other upper respiratory allergies. It is usually enough to use Afrin twice a day to ease your breathing, day and night. It has a long-lasting effect and can be used to facilitate nasal examination or surgery, and as an adjunctive treatment for ear infections.
Dosage and method of administration
Dosage:
Adults and children over 10 years of age: 2 sprays in each nostril every 12 hours.
Children 6–10 years: 1 spray in each nostril every 12 hours.

Application: Keeping your head upright, insert the tip of the bottle into the nostril without closing it completely. Squeeze the bottle quickly and firmly to spray the recommended dose into each nostril. Clean the tip of the bottle after use. Do not use Afrin in children younger than 6 years.
Do not exceed the recommended dose or take for more than 7 days unless your doctor directs otherwise. Afrin should not be used at intervals of less than 12 hours.
