Adults, adolescents and children over 10 years of age: Take one or two tablets (5 or 10 mg) daily at bedtime. Start treatment with the lowest dose, i.e. 1 tablet per day. If necessary, the dose can be adjusted up to a maximum dose of 2 tablets per day. Do not exceed the maximum dose of 2 tablets per day.
Children aged 2 to 10 years: The usual dose for children is one tablet (5 mg) daily at bedtime. Children aged 2-3 years can only take this medicine if they are able to swallow the tablet (otherwise there is a risk of inhaling the tablet). In this age group, it may be appropriate to administer bisacodyl in the form of suppositories. Read the package leaflet in detail.
