You can use the ointment as a massage product. Regular massage from the ankles to the knees has a beneficial effect on the blood vessels of the lower extremities.
Calendula ointment also helps with skin care (such as burns, eczema, or other skin problems). Great for rough skin – exfoliates the skin very effectively. You can also use calendula ointment to care for postoperative scars and stumps.
What does Dr. calendula ointment consist of? Popova produces
The herbal base of calendula ointment is calendula (Calendula officinalis), native to the Mediterranean and grown throughout Europe as an ornamental (but also medicinal) plant. In herbalism, both whole flowers and the stems and leaves of the flower are used.
Calendula contains valuable substances: essential oils, silicic acid, fats, waxes, saponins, flavonoids, bitterness, resins, mucus, organic acids, and partly vitamin C. The sum of these substances has a beneficial effect on damaged tissues.
The basis of the ointment is purified lard (extracted with hot steam), which in its composition resembles human fat. It is very well absorbed into the skin and is a high-quality carrier of medicinal substances contained in herbs. Although various synthetic substances are widely used today, high-quality lard cannot yet replace anything in ointments.
Calendula ointment also contains real beeswax, which has excellent protective and moisturizing properties.
Why does calendula ointment contain Dr. Popova and other herbs
The action of calendula in the ointment is supported by other herbs: thyme, comfrey, goldenrod, black elderberry and Japanese jerlin. The combination of these herbs enhances the effect of calendula.
Dosage
Before using the ointment, we recommend washing the affected area with water without soap and drying well. The ointment is applied in a thin layer to the skin so that it does not clog the pores. Calendula ointment is used 2-3 times a day (or as needed), gently rubbed into the skin for 2-3 minutes.
Literally anyone can use calendula ointment: this ointment is suitable for both dry and normal and sensitive skin.
Storage
We recommend storing calendula ointment at a temperature of 5–25 °C. Calendula ointment does not contain preservatives or artificial colors.
