Duphalac syrup is a medicine that is used:
for the treatment of chronic constipation,
regulate the physiological rhythm of the colon,

Duphalac syrup is used to treat hepatic encephalopathy (liver disease leading to confusion, tremors, changes in consciousness, including coma).
Duphalac syrup contains a laxative called lactulose, which softens stools and makes them easier to pass through the intestines by drawing water into them. It is not absorbed by the body.
Dosage and method of administration
Recommended dosage:
Dosage for constipation and medical necessity for loose stools:
Initial dosage per day:
Adults and teenagers – 15-45 ml.
Children 7-14 years old – 15 ml.
Children 1-6 years old – 5-10 ml.
Infants under 1 year – up to 5 ml.
Maintenance dosage per day:
Adults and teenagers – 15-30 ml,
Children 7-14 years old – 10-15 ml.
Children 1-6 years old – 5-10 ml.
Children under 1 year – up to 5 ml.
The use of laxatives in children, infants and newborns should be carried out in exceptional cases and under medical supervision, as this may affect the normal excretion of feces.
Dosage for hepatic encephalopathy
Adults – the initial dose is 30-45 ml of solution for oral administration 3-4 times a day. This dose can be changed to a maintenance dose to ensure
soft stools 2-3 times a day.
Take your dose at the same time every day.
Swallow the medicine quickly, do not keep it in your mouth.
You can take Duphalac undiluted or diluted with liquid.
It takes several days (2-3 days) before the effect occurs.
Contraindications
