Hascovir control is a medicine used to treat recurring cold sores on the lips and face caused by the herpes simplex virus.
The active ingredient of the drug is acyclovir (Aciclovirum).
1 tablet contains 400 mg of acyclovir.
Excipients: lactose monohydrate, microcrystalline cellulose, sodium carboxymethyl starch (type A), potato starch, magnesium stearate.
Dosage
Always take this medication exactly as directed in the package insert or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist. If you are unsure, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice.
The drug should be taken orally with water. The dosage of Hascovir control Max for adults is 1 tablet 2 times a day (every 12 hours). Without consulting a doctor, the drug can be used for a maximum of 1 month, especially during periods of exposure to factors that cause recurrence of herpes (for example, increased exposure to sunlight, stress, fever).
Action
Hascovir control MAX works by inhibiting the proliferation of herpes viruses.
Indications
Hascovir control MAX is used to prevent relapses of herpes simplex in adults with a history of herpes simplex virus infection. The drug is intended for patients with normal immunity.
Contraindications.
Do not use this medicine in people who are hypersensitive to acyclovir or any of the components of this medicine.
Side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine may cause side effects, although not everyone gets them.
Call your doctor immediately or go to the nearest emergency room if you experience an anaphylactic reaction or angioedema (rare, 1 to 10 people in 10,000).
Common side effects (affects 1 to 10 patients in 100): headache and dizziness; nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain; itching, rash (also appear after exposure to sunlight); fatigue, fever
Uncommon side effects (1 to 10 patients in 1000): Skin reactions: hives, hair loss.
Rare side effects (affects 1 to 10 patients in 10,000): increased levels of urea and creatinine in the blood, temporary increases in bilirubin and liver enzymes in the blood.
Very rare side effects (less than 1 in 10,000 patients): anemia, low white blood cell count, thrombocytopenia (low platelet count); agitation, confusion, tremor, ataxia, speech impairment, hallucinations, psychotic symptoms, convulsions, drowsiness, encephalopathy (brain damage), coma; hepatitis, jaundice; acute renal failure.
