It has a large range of effects on multiplying forms of microorganisms, i.e. bacteria, fungi and viruses. Iodine bound in the complex is released in a concentration that is sufficient for disinfection, but does not damage the skin or mucous membranes. Full effect occurs in 1 – 5 minutes after use. It permanently destroys the growth of disease-causing microorganisms on the skin and mucous membranes.

Interaction:
Iodisol loses its effectiveness in contact with soap, alkaline substances, milk and proteins.
