At this point, the mixture of silicone and paint from which the Merula is made is injected into the mold to make the cup. The particles of color pigments used to make paint are of different sizes. Larger particles can collect at the injection point and thus create a darker spot on the finished Merula cup at the end of the production process. This point has no effect on the functionality of the cup.
