This medication is indicated in the treatment of vulvar infections of sensitive vulvovaginal yeast infections (diseases caused by microscopic fungi).

Vulvovaginal mycoses are common infections of the mucous membranes in the intimate parts of women (vulva and vagina) most often caused by a fungus called Candida albicans. This fungus is naturally present in the body but certain factors can cause abnormal proliferation of the fungus and lead to infection. This imbalance of the vaginal flora results in vaginal mycosis that can be associated with vulvar mycosis.
