Nurofen for children belongs to a group of medicines called non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). These medications work by changing the body’s response to pain and fever.
Dosage and method of administration
Recommended dosage:
Children 6–9 years: 5 ml (equivalent to 200 mg ibuprofen) every 8 hours.
Children 10 to 12 years: 7.5 ml (equivalent to 300 mg ibuprofen) (use scoop twice: 5 ml + 2.5 ml) every 8 hours.
