Honey – a complex and wonderful ingredient, illustrates what nature can give us. It is the fruit of alchemy between the floral nectar collected by the bees and the advanced processing taking place in the hive. Honey has been used since ancient times due to its sweetening power, it also has countless healing properties: it strengthens, has antibacterial properties and heals wounds.

The inhabitants of ancient Egypt and Rome already used it as a cosmetic.

Sunflower – an annual plant, grown for its seeds and high-quality edible oil. Native to North America and Mexico, the sunflower is now cultivated all over the world. Oil pressed from sunflower seeds is valued for its balance of unsaturated fatty acids, including linoleic acid, one of the essential unsaturated fatty acids. Perfect for preventing diabetes, it is also an excellent source of antioxidant vitamin E.

The NUXE laboratory chose a sunflower oil derivative obtained by molecular distillation, which is a non-chemical method. The extract contains unsaturated fatty acids (90%), of which 20% is oleic acid and 60% is linoleic acid (omega 6). This extract accelerates the synthesis of natural skin lipids. It is therefore ideal for rebuilding the lipid coat of dry and sensitive skin, thus improving its barrier function.
