Action

The cyclopirox contained in the preparation is a synthetic derivative of pyridinone and has an antifungal effect. The mechanism of action is associated with the penetration through the nail plate and the accumulation of the active substance in large quantities in the cells of pathogenic fungi, leading to impaired transport of nutrients. As a result, the growth and decay of fungal cells is inhibited.

Indications

Pyrolam varnish is used for mild and moderate toenail fungus of the hands or feet of adults, when no more than 4 out of 10 nails are affected and in no more than 50%.
