Pharmacodynamics.
The combined herbal preparation, the action of which is due to the physiologically active substances included in its composition, exert anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial and antispasmodic effects, as well as reduce the permeability of capillaries, strengthen and accelerate the processes of regeneration of mucous membranes (improve trophic processes) and have moderate hemostatic properties.
The drug has a positive effect on the trophism of the mucous membrane of the stomach, has an antispasmodic effect.
Rotokan has a wound-healing and antioxidant effect.
Clinical characteristics.
Indication.
In dental practice for inflammatory diseases of the mucous membrane of the oral cavity (aphthous and other stomatitis, ulcerative-necrotic gingivostomatitis).
As part of combined therapy in the treatment of diseases of the digestive organs (chronic gastritis, duodenitis, functional dyspepsia, chronic colitis).
Contraindication.
Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Increased individual sensitivity to any components of the drug, hypersensitivity to other plants of the Asteraceae family, increased blood coagulation, tendency to blood clots.
Interaction with other medicinal products and other types of interactions.
If it is necessary to use any other medicines at the same time, you should consult a doctor.
Features of application.
Do not use the drug for longer than the prescribed period without consulting a doctor. If the symptoms of the disease do not begin to disappear or, on the contrary, the state of health has worsened, unwanted phenomena have appeared, you should consult a doctor for advice on further use of the drug. Do not exceed the recommended doses. For peptic ulcer disease and gastritis with increased acidity, use together with antacids and antispasmodics.
Use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Due to the content of yarrow in the composition, which increases the tone of the uterus, use during pregnancy or breastfeeding is ″Contradicted″.

Method of application and dosage.
Before use by adults and children over 12 years of age, dissolve 1 teaspoon (5 ml) of Rotokan in 1 glass of warm water.
Periodontitis should be treated locally after removal of dental deposits and instrumental processing of pathological gum pockets. Thin turundas, well moistened with the prepared solution of the drug, are injected into the ash pockets for 20 minutes. The procedure is carried out daily or every other day (4-6 times).
In case of stomatitis and other diseases of the mucous membrane of the oral cavity, the drug should be prescribed in the form of applications from a prepared solution of the drug lasting 15-20 minutes or oral baths from the same solution lasting
1-2 minutes. Apply 2-3 times a day for 2-5 days.
In gastroenterology, Rotokan is used internally and in micro-enemas.
Internally use 1/2-1/3 cup of the solution at the rate of 1 teaspoon of Rotokan per 1 cup of warm boiled water 30 minutes before meals or 40-60 minutes after meals, 3-4 times a day.
For micro enemas: 1 teaspoon of the drug per 50-100 ml of warm boiled water (after cleansing the intestines) 1-2 times a day. The course of treatment is 15-20 days. The duration of drug use depends on the achieved therapeutic effect and the course of the disease.
Children.
The drug should not be used by children under 12 years of age.
Overdose.
In case of overdose, dizziness and nausea are possible.
Adverse reactions.
Allergic reactions, reddening of the skin, rash, itching, urticaria, angioedema, anaphylactic shock are possible in persons with increased sensitivity.
