Mode of action:
On medicinal. Relevant ingredients of thyme are described as essential thyme oil, flavonoids and tannic acids. The bronchospasmolytic, secretomotor and secretolytic effect is based on the essential oil and the flavonoids. The officinal thyme fluid extract, produced by extraction with a mixture of alcohol, glycerine and water, combines all the effective principles of thyme. The standardization is based on a minimum content of components of the essential oil.
