Gastro-oesophageal reflux is the backflow of acid from the stomach into the oesophagus which can become inflamed and painful. This can cause symptoms such as a burning sensation in the chest up into the throat (heartburn) and a sour taste in the mouth (acid regurgitation).
Acid reflux and heartburn may disappear after one day of treatment with Omeprazole Mylan 20 mg gastro-resistant capsules. However, this medicine is not intended to provide immediate relief. It may be necessary to continue treatment for 2 or 3 consecutive days for symptoms to improve.
