Xylinetten consist of more than 95% xylitol and are therefore sugar-free. Xylitol or birch sugar is obtained by reducing xylose and has the same sweetening power as conventional sugar, although the calorific value of xylitol is 40% lower than that of sucrose sugar. Xylinetten are metabolized without insulin and are therefore also suitable for diabetics. Cariogenic bacteria of the species Streptococcus mutans cannot metabolize xylitol and die as a result. Xylitol also prevents plaque bacteria from attaching to the tooth surface. Therefore, Xylinetten are the ideal complement to brushing your teeth; they prevent the development of caries, plaque formation, dry mouth, tartar formation and discoloration of the teeth by plaque-forming factors. Xylinetten are made from Finnish birch sugar in Germany. Xylinetten are suitable for vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free diets and for diabetics.
