The given number of granules is poured into the mouth and allowed to dissolve slowly, e.g. under the tongue, not swallowed. The medicine is absorbed into the body through the oral mucosa, so it is desirable that certain aromatic substances (e.g. menthol, coffee or tobacco) are not present in the mouth at the time of use, which could affect absorption. For infants and young children, it is possible to dissolve the granules in a small amount of water (follow the expert’s recommendations, but generally 10 granules per 1 dcl of baby water) and give the child spoonfuls at the recommended intervals (1 dose = 1 teaspoon).
