Description
Antidol 15 is a medicinal product for short-term use in pain of various origins (headache, after tooth extraction, osteoarticular pain, menstrual pain).

Composition
The active substances are: codeine phosphate and paracetamol.

1 tablet contains 15 mg of codeine phosphate and 500 mg of paracetamol as Compap L 90%, composed of: paracetamol, gelatinized corn starch, stearic acid, povidone, crospovidone.

Excipients: microcrystalline cellulose, colloidal anhydrous silica, magnesium stearate.

Dosage
Always use this medicine exactly as described in this leaflet or as directed by your doctor or pharmacist.

Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age: 1-2 tablets every 6 hours up to 4 times a day (maximum 6 tablets a day).

The maximum daily dose of paracetamol should not exceed 3 g, and codeine should not exceed 240 mg.
The medicine should be taken after a meal with plenty of fluid.
The medicine should not be taken for longer than 3 days. If the pain does not subside after 3 days, consult a doctor.
Dosage in people with severe renal impairment: in people with severe renal impairment, the interval between doses of the drug should be at least 8 hours.

Dosage in people with impaired liver function: people with impaired liver function or Gilbert’s syndrome should use the drug at a lower dose or extend the intervals between subsequent doses of the drug.

Action
Antidol has antipyretic and analgesic properties. The analgesic effect lasts for about 4 hours.

Indications
pain of medium and severe intensity, of various origins, e.g. headache, pain after tooth extraction, osteoarticular pain (including post-traumatic pain), post-traumatic pain of soft tissues, menstrual pain,
acute pain of moderate intensity that does not improve with treatment with other painkillers such as paracetamol or ibuprofen.
Contraindications
You should not use Antidol:

in case of hypersensitivity to paracetamol, codeine, opioids or any of the excipients,
if you have severe liver and kidney failure,
in case of alcoholism, respiratory failure,
if the patient is using MAO inhibitors and during and 2 weeks after their discontinuation,
in case of congenital deficiency of glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase, methemoglobin reductase, hemolytic anemia,
if a woman is breastfeeding,
in people under 12 years of age,
after removal of the palatine and/or adenoid in children and adolescents (up to 18 years of age) as part of the treatment of obstructive apnea syndrome,
in case of rapid metabolism involving the CYP2D6 enzyme.
Side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine can cause side effects, although not everybody gets them.

Common side effects (affects 1 to 10 in 100 people):

fatigue, dizziness, headaches,
decreased blood pressure,
nausea, vomiting, constipation.
Uncommon side effects (affects 1 to 10 in 1,000 people):

sleep disorders,
rash, itching, skin redness, hives.
Rare side effects (affects 1 to 10 in 10,000 people):

blurred vision,
Tinnitus,
dyspnoea,
dry mouth,
allergic eczema.
