The exact mechanism of action of ASA has only been known for around fifty years. And since then, the use of the active ingredient has been improved in many ways: dosages have become more individual, and the options for taking it have been expanded through different dosage forms.
ASS Dexcel® is also available with a special enteric coating, called ASS Dexcel® Protect. This coating means that tablets do not dissolve in the stomach, but rather in the digestive tract. The rather sensitive stomach mucosa therefore does not come into contact with the acetylsalicylic acid, meaning the active ingredient is better tolerated.
