A scar is the natural end state of wound healing. Destroyed skin was closed by a replacement tissue, which is no longer complexly intertwined but arranged in parallel. This means that differences from the original skin are visible, which are often perceived as disturbing. However, the subsequent scar appearance can be positively influenced by timely scar treatment. Bepanthen scar gel was developed for this purpose. It is the optimal choice for treating fresh scars after the wound has closed or for older scars while they are still red and raised. The gel works with 3 principles: the massage roller supports even scar tissue, silicone protects against drying out and dexpanthenol provides moisture. The scar will heal more quickly and become less visible over time.
