Phlebaven is an anti-inflammatory drug intended to treat signs and symptoms of chronic venous disease, such as: pain; feeling of heaviness; tired legs; restless legs; night cramps; swelling and trophic changes. It protects the veins and improves their activity, reduces venous congestion and the appearance of edema. Provides relief from pain, bleeding and swelling in the anal area during acute hemorrhoidal crisis.
Dosage and method of administration
Mode of application

Phlebaven should be taken with food;
Swallow the tablet with liquid.
Chronic vein diseases:
Recommended daily dose – 1 tablet;
You must take this medicine for at least 4 to 5 weeks before the expected improvement occurs. If your symptoms worsen or do not improve after 6 weeks of treatment, contact your doctor;
Self-medication without consulting a doctor can continue for 3 months. However, you can continue taking Flebaven for a longer period of time if your doctor thinks that you do not need any other special treatment.
Acute hemorrhoidal crisis:
The daily dose during the first 4 days of treatment is 3 tablets;
Over the next 3 days, the recommended daily dose is 2 tablets. After this, the maintenance dose is 1 tablet per day.
If symptoms do not improve or worsen after 7 days of treatment, consult your doctor. Self-medication with Phlebaven can be continued for 15 days; if symptoms persist during this time, consult a doctor.
If you take a dose of Phlebaven more than necessary.
If you take more tablets than necessary, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
Cases of overdose with diosmin have not yet been reported.
If you forget to take Phlebaven
Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose.

Possible side effects
Like all medicines, this medicine may cause side effects, although not everyone gets them. Reported side effects associated with diosmin use include:
Common (may affect up to 1 in 10 people): diarrhea, upset stomach, nausea, vomiting;
Uncommon (may affect up to 1 in 100 people): Colitis (inflammation of the large intestine);
Rarely (may affect up to 1 in 1000 people): Headache, feeling unwell, dizzy; Rash, itching, urticaria (urticaria).;
With unknown frequency (frequency cannot be estimated from available data): abdominal pain; Edema (swelling of the face, lips and eyelids), and in extremely rare cases angioedema (rapid swelling of tissues such as the face, lips, tongue or throat, which can cause difficulty breathing).
Keep out of the reach of children.
Contraindications
Do not use Phlebaven:

If you are allergic to diosmin or any part of this medicine.

If you have an acute hemorrhoidal crisis, you can only take Phlebaven for a limited period of 15 days. If symptoms do not go away within this time, consult your doctor.

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant, or are planning to become pregnant, consult your doctor or pharmacist before using this medication.
