Composition: 5 ml syrup (one teaspoon) contains the active substance, which is 4mg butamiratu citrate and excipients.
Action: antitussive, relaxes the muscles of the bronchi, making it easier to breathe.
Dosage: orally. Unless the doctor prescribes a specific dosage, the drug is most often used: – children from 2 to 6 years: 1 teaspoon (4 mg) 3 times a day – children from 6 to 12 years 2 teaspoons (8 mg) 3 times a day – children over 12 years: 3 teaspoons (12 mg) 3 times a day – adults: 3 teaspoons (12 mg) 4 times a day. The drug should be taken before meals. It should not be used for more than a few days.
Contraindications: allergy to butamirate or other components of the composition; phenylketonuria. The drug is not indicated for use upacjentów with symptoms of acute respiratory depression. Not recommended for use in women in the first trimester of pregnancy. In the second and third trimester of pregnancy and lactation, the drug can be used only if necessary.
