The drug is taken orally and the entire tablet is washed down with a glass of water during meals. During treatment, you should drink at least 2 liters of fluids a day, which will help push mucus out of the airways. The drug can be taken for a maximum of 3 days without consulting a doctor.
The use of thiocodine in adolescents aged 12 to 18 years with impaired respiratory function is not recommended for the treatment of cough.
The recommended dose of thiocodine for adults and adolescents over 12 years of age is 1 tablet three times a day with a break of at least 4 to 6 hours.

Thiocodine cough tablets contain two active substances with complementary effects. Codeine inhibits the cough reflex and reduces the frequency of coughing fits. Sulfaguayacol acts as an expectorant and facilitates the movement of liquefied secretions in the respiratory tract and its expulsion.
